A question for our readers...

Has anyone heard of or dealt with an organization called National Gun Rights???

One of the readers asked the question, and I don't have any idea. I've never heard of them either positive or negative.

Their web page is HERE; and their FAQ page is HERE.

They 'appear' to be out of Colorado, but have an office or location in Fredericksburg, VA.  Any comments, knowledge, positive or negatives would be appreciated.

From looking at (and through) the website, it kind of looks like a couple of guys that figured out a way to make a good living out of the "gun control" issue. A professional ultra-right wing lobbyist who annoyed too many politicians so he is now appealing directly to the people? I hope I'm wrong, just my observation.

If you would point out the blog in particular by posting the url the other admins and myself will look it over and decide if it is to stay on the list. without knowing which one of the blogs you are referring to however we can't even do that.

I've tried to check each blog and after going through about 90 of them in one day it would take me another 3 or 4 days just to finish.

I doubt this is particularly helpful and I do not have personal info or experience with National Gun Rights, Dudley Brown, or RMGO. My personal suspicion is they are closely affiliated with The Benjamins, but JMO.

Dudley Brown used to (or still does) run Rocky Mountain Gun Owners.

Always take Wikipedia with a grain of salt, especially when it comes to any topic that can be considered controversial, but nevertheless here is the Wikipedia entry for RMGO.

All that said, CO is a place where activism can make a difference. No a hopeless loss like NJ or CT or MD.

Grey- I've got this, Muddy is talking about the National Gun Rights website.

Muddy- Thanks

Knucklehead- Good point, thanks! Based on the Wiki, it looks like they are part of the hard core right and obviously don't like the NRA or their approach.

Yes, I have heard of them. They are a conservative gun rights organization now based in Fredericksburg, whereas I am within travel distance to Charlottesville.
Here in Virginia, a lot of people who are pro-gun think the NRA is too flexible with the opposition. I am one of those. Whatever laws exist here in Virginia now with regard to weapons can stay, but I don't want any more of them.
