What is your opinion on putting up links/posts here about blog meets, blog shoots and other types of get togethers?
This site is averaging about 650 hits a day, so it might be an opportunity to get the word out to a 'wider' audience.
For example, HERE is the Gun Blogger Rendezvous.
Thoughts and comments appreciated.

I have no problem with such posts, but I'll probably never attend one either.
Good Idea! Maybe I'll find out about a local shoot I can get to before it's over.
I like the idea. I do a blog meet a year for charity and interweb word of mouth is what makes it work.
PS--The next one is tentatively 2nd Saturday in Sept., Jefferson County, WV.
I think it depends on whether the event is open to all, or intended for a regional audience, or open only to invited participants. The first category - sure. Second - I'm not sure. Third - that would probably create discord between the 'innies' and the 'outies' who want to become 'innies'. "So where/when/how do I get my invitation?"
K- thanks and understood.
TCC- Yeah, heard that!!!
What K said. It's your blog you should post what you want. That way if people want to go, they can.
By putting up posts or links about meetings, shoots and other activities you're providing a service to your readers. I see a real value in that.
I'd be more inclined to notice the posts if they are here.
Okay, how about we do it this way. If you want your meet publicized, let us know and we'll put it up. Otherwise, you're on your own (so to speak).
Affirmative, go with it, can't hurt anything, and it does not cost anything.
Suerte- Thanks!
I think it's a great idea. My gun blogger readers finally talked me into attending Gunblogger Rendezvous 2012, and I had a blast! I'll be going again this year, and I'm pushing the heck out of it at Daily Pundit.
