R.I.P. Maura

She was deathly afraid of guns. Told me that she would turn around if she walked down a grocery store aisle if there were a uniformed police officer there with a gun on his hip. When I told her about my interest in guns she was shocked.

But we were dear friends. She trusted me. I coaxed her into the world of shooting. She bought a Walther P22.

She even blogged about it as a guest blogger on the old "North" blog. She supported me starting North and then starting the Gun Blog Black List. She became an advocate for gun rights.

My friend passed away this morning.

I love you and I'm going to miss you terribly.

JEEZ! North! This is horrible news.
Maura was the sweetest person on earth.
I found Maura via the blogs and we commented on each other's frequently.
I am so sorry for your loss.
And, perhaps to a lesser extent not having met her personally, I feel a sense of loss as well.
