Oppose BATFE’s Expansion of the Federal "Armor Piercing" Ammo Ban and Tell Congress to Act

President Obama insisted that if Congress would not enact his gun control agenda, he would do so on his own, through executive action. Whatever else can be said of the president’s track record, he is doing his utmost to keep that promise. Having failed to enact a federal ban on the AR-15, America’s most popular rifle, he’s now using the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to do the next best thing. BATFE is now proposing to ban a whole class of common rifle ammunition used in that overwhelmingly popular firearm. Unfortunately, that’s just the beginning of BATFE’s latest move.

The 'comments' need to be in by March 16th. As others have said, please be polite and give them a cogent comment...

Finally, please contact your U.S. Senators and Member of Congress. Urge them to oppose BATFE's attempt to ban M855 handgun ammunition and other rifle cartridges that are overwhelmingly used by law-abiding Americans for self-defense, sport shooting and other legitimate purposes as "armor piercing." I made a few adjustments to the Template and narrowed the width of the blog.  If you are viewing the GBBL on a mobile device and are having issues seeing the content please send me an e-mail.  The Mobile Template was turned off and I turned it on.  This MIGHT make it difficult for people to see everything.  If this has happened to you, please let me know and I will turn the Mobile Template back off until I can figure out what the issue is.

Please if you see a dead link to a blog, send me an e-mail with both the name and the URL to the blog in question, so I can check it out and remove it if needed.

Also after some problems I had with a few things behind the scenes, you might see the GBBL look a little differently over the next few days.  It's nothing to worry about.  Just me trying to make it easier to navigate behind the scenes.  If something looks REALLY wrong or is not working right, hit my e-mail up above.  If you have Gtalk you can send me an IM using greylocke as my ID.  Please don't send me a Google Hangout IM if possible, it drives me nuts having to deal with that.  If that's all you have, send away, I'll just have to deal with it, but I prefer Gtalk while it still works.

And while there will be some changes made to the GBBL, if you don't like them, like them or have suggestions please feel free to leave a comment.  The Boss and I want to make the GBBL accessible and as complete as possible for everyone.  So please let us know if something's wrong, so we can fix it.  If you are viewing the GBBL on a mobile device and are having issues, I REALLY would like to know so I can adjust the Mobile Template.
